Overview
Grant Avenue Studio is a recording/mixing studio that also provides the latest in mastering/editing technology. Aside from a knowledgeable and friendly staff, Grant Avenue boasts a large selection of equipment and instruments at NO extra cost. We also have talented in-house writers for songwriting collaborations, television / film scores, and advertisements.
Since it's beginnings over 30 years ago, Grant Avenue Studio has survived the many changes and challenges of the music industry. It began as a convergence of ideas between Bob Doidge and the Lanois brothers in the 1970's, and over time has developed an undeniable character of it's own.
In 1998 Paul Riemens became co-owner and assisted in ushering the studio into the digital age. Paul brings a new direction to the studio, producing and engineering a diverse selection of eclectic artists from Tommy Ramone, Par Ubu and Television to new artists like Jace Martin.
Situated in a converted 1917 Edwardian house in Hamilton Ontario, Grant Avenue Studio retains the warm atmosphere implied by the architecture. Simple, quaint and anonymous from the outside, this very location has made an impressive impact on Canadian recording history.
